The service was great. The staff was friendly and they made N effort to help seat us as soon as they could. The place gave Italian vibes. Very nicely decorated. The food was delicious. The menu has a great variety and the wine menu as well. We had the best tiramisu and delicious cannolis.

We came here in a whim the evening of our engagement and it was packed! We did not have a reservation so we took advantage of the bar by grabbing a drink and sitting down in the lobby while we waited for our table. We ended up waiting about an hour because we chose to sit inside vs. outside (in the Texas heat) for dinner. Once we were seated, our waiter arrived and was very polite and friendly. He told us about the house specials, answered questions we had about other entrees and took our drink order. He also brought us fresh bread, garlic and oil while we waited. My fiancé had the lasagna and I had the steak. They were both delicious and the portions were large. Although this was our first time visiting, we instantly knew that we would be returning. If you are ever near Canyon Lake or the vicinity of, take the time to go and get lunch or dinner here; you won't regret it!

This restaurant was recommended to us, and did not disappoint! The waiter recommended some amazingly smooth Beer, and wine! We had the mussels al Pepe, salmon Romana and Melanzane Ana Maria!!! Very fresh and flavorful!! Our server Dale was very helpful and welcoming!! And the patio is BEAUTIFUL, and not too hot even mid summer

100% recommend but make sure you make reservations and not in hurry to go somewhere afterwards. In town for the weekend and popped in right before 5p knowing there would be a wait since we had no reservations based from the reviews. Was told it would be a 1hr 15-20min wait. They have corn hole and jumbo jenga to entertain you outside while you wait. Luckily it was about 35-40min wait for us. They make everything from scratch, even the pastas. Ordered the calamari, chicken alfredo, lobster ravioli, and Fiorentina. The calamari was fresh but would have preferred it more crunchy. My kiddos ate it up though. The bread they gave us was fresh, hot, and soft. We enjoyed all the flavors of the pastas. Pastas were soft and tender. The ravioli melted in my mouth. Tiramisu was also delicious. Nice coffee flavor. The staff were really friendly and accommodated my requests with ease. Our waitress was sweet and gave our kids stickers at the end. We sat outside and it was very beautiful and peaceful. The also have this machine that keeps the flies away. My only complaint is the wait for food to come is also long. I get everything is made from scratch but would expect a little more efficiently. The appetizers came out quickly but the entrees took almost an hour to come out. We noticed the couple next to us waiting a bit for dessert so we ordered our dessert -- tiramisu to go and it still took the whole meal plus ~15m wait time to get our dessert.

Long wait times so be careful but well worth it. Wow all I can say is what a surprise so delicious and reasonable prices. Definitely be back.

Amazing Italian food in rural Texas? Yes it's true. Gennaro's Trattoria is amazing. Try their rigatoni. Excellent service, a fun atmosphere, and worth the drive, or flight, no matter how far away you are.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 HOLY FREAKING MOLY!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC, EXQUISITE, CHEFS KISS!!! We came for my sisters birthday dinner (Disclaimer: did not get any pics of the whole groups food but they loved their meals) We had a reservation made for 8 and only waited another 5 minutes for them to get the table ready. We started off with the Bruschetta, sooo good and filling, I almost didn't finish my dinner lol. I ordered the Lasagna della Nonna, my boyfriend got you got the Rosemary chicken ravioli. Everything taste so fresh & delicious, a lot of flavor to every meal! We also got some glasses of wine, a red & white (I forgot which ones). We were able to sample a few as well. This place is A M A Z I N G!!! Make sure you make a reservation, I'm sure if 2 people went you wouldn't wait forever but ya never know. We will be back again. Thank y'all
